Black Bean & Cheese Empanadas

Ingredients


  • 1 container FRESH IS BEST BLACK BEAN DIP

  • 3/4 cup shredded cheese ( Mexican cheese or mozzarella)

  • 1 jalapeno, diced

  • Premade Empanada dough

  • Egg wash

Directions

  1. Mix Fresh is Best black bean dip, cheese, and diced jalapeno.

  2. Roll out empanada dough.

  3. Place a spoonful of the black dip mixture in the center of the empanada dough. Fold the dough over the filling.

  4. Moisten the edges of the dough with egg wash using a pastry brush. Seal edges by pressing with a fork.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes at 375F in an oven or air fryer. Flip empanada after 10 minutes. Bake until golden.
