Easy and quick week night meal. Only 4 ingredients.
Salsa chicken pairs well with Mexican rice. Great in tacos, nachos, enchiladas and burritos.
6 boneless chicken breasts, thawed
1 container FRESH IS BEST salsa
1 cup tex mex cheese
1 tsp FRESH IS BEST taco seasoning (use more if chicken is unsalted)
Place chicken breast, Fresh is Best salsa, and Fresh is Best taco seasoning in the crockpot.
Cook for 2 ½ hours. Until chicken is fully cooked, but not falling apart.
Preheat oven to 425oF
Remove chicken from crockpot and place in a 9 x13” pan. Spoon over salsa from the crockpot. Sprinkle chicken with cheese.
Bake chicken until cheese is golden and melted, approximately 15 minutes.
Plate the chicken and enjoy!
*Cook the chicken longer for tacos, nachos, and enchiladas.
