Crockpot Salsa Chicken

Easy and quick week night meal. Only 4 ingredients.

Salsa chicken pairs well with Mexican rice. Great in tacos, nachos, enchiladas and burritos.


Ingredients


  • 6 boneless chicken breasts, thawed

  • 1 container FRESH IS BEST salsa

  • 1 cup tex mex cheese

  • 1 tsp FRESH IS BEST taco seasoning (use more if chicken is unsalted)







Directions


  1. Place chicken breast, Fresh is Best salsa, and Fresh is Best taco seasoning in the crockpot.

  2. Cook for 2 ½ hours. Until chicken is fully cooked, but not falling apart.

  3. Preheat oven to 425oF

  4. Remove chicken from crockpot and place in a 9 x13” pan. Spoon over salsa from the crockpot. Sprinkle chicken with cheese.

  5. Bake chicken until cheese is golden and melted, approximately 15 minutes.

  6. Plate the chicken and enjoy!


Tips


*Cook the chicken longer for tacos, nachos, and enchiladas.
