Cheesy, crunchy and spicy mac and cheese.
1 1/3 cup shredded Tex Mex cheese
1 ½ cups milk
½ - ¾ cup FRESH IS BEST SALSA
1 tsp FRESH IS BEST TACO SEASONING
¼ tsp salt and pepper
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 cup FRESH IS BEST TORTILLA CHIPS
400g of pasta
Melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Whisk in flour.
Add the milk and mix well.
Once the mixture has thickened add the cheese.
In a separated pot cook the pasta.
Add the Fresh Is Best taco seasoning, Fresh Is Best salsa, salt, and pepper to the cheese sauce and mix well.
Drain pasta and set it aside.
In a big bowl, add the pasta and cheese sauce and mix till combined.
Crush Fresh Is Best tortilla chips in a food processor or with a meat tenderizer.
Pour the mac and cheese into a grease pan. Top with crushed tortilla chips.
Bake until hot and golden. Serve with extra Fresh Is Best salsa and cilantro
